WHAT IS THE MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT TO ENROLL IN A DRIVING SCHOOL?
The minimum legal driving age in Australia is 16. You must pass a knowledge test and be supervised by a full license holder or instructor. You must complete 120 logbook hours (minimum 20 hours of night driving). At age 17, after passing the practical driving test, you will be eligible to drive as a P1 provisional license holder.
WHAT IS THE DURATION OF EACH CLASS?
Lessons usually last for 1 hour. However, the class duration can be increased to 1.5 or 2 hours depending on the student's specific needs and goals.
WHEN DOES L DRIVING OFFER LESSONS?
Our business hours are from 6.30 AM till late, seven days a week. We take utmost care in accommodating our learners' convenience and special requests.
HOW DO I PASS MY DRIVING TEST?
When you prepare adequately, getting a license becomes an enjoyable process. Your driving instructor sets a goal date after the initial assessment and works towards it with sufficient planning, including test route preparation and practice tests. We aim to get you the license on your first go.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO GET MY LICENSE?
It depends on your individual ability to learn as every individual is unique. We assist you in acquiring those skills in the fastest and most practical way. On average, it takes 25 hours for a new learner to be equipped to drive safely.
WHERE WILL MY LESSONS BE HELD?
Driving lessons start and finish at a location convenient to you. The sessions can start from your home address, school, or office as advised by you.
WHAT IS THE DRIVER KNOWLEDGE TEST (DKT)?
The DKT assesses a driver's knowledge of road rules and safe driving practices. It is a requirement for learner drivers and those looking to upgrade their license. The test consists of 45 multiple-choice questions. For more details, visit Service NSW.
WILL THE INSTRUCTOR FILL IN MY LOGBOOK?
Yes. A maximum of 10 hours of structured lessons with a professional instructor will be recorded as 30 hours of driving experience in your logbook (applicable for daytime instructions).
WHAT TYPE OF CAR WILL BE USED?
Our fleet is the most modern Toyota Corolla in the industry, and all our vehicles are less than four years old. We provide training in manual and automatic cars across all areas we serve.
IS IT POSSIBLE TO TAKE LESSONS IN MY OWN CAR?
Yes, you can learn to drive in your own car in Australia with a fully licensed supervisor, as long as it is fully insured and meets TfNSW regulations for learner vehicles.
ARE THE CARS DUAL-CONTROLLED?
Our cars are safety guaranteed! All our vehicles are equipped with dual controls, carry 5-star safety ratings, and are fully inspected and verified by TfNSW.
DO YOU PROVIDE A CAR FOR THE DRIVING TEST?
Yes, we provide a car for the driving test. Please get in touch with our office for more information on test-day bookings.
ARE CREDIT CARDS ACCEPTED?
Yes, we accept most credit cards. Please note that a 2.2% merchant fee is applied to all card payments to cover processing costs.
I HAVE AN OVERSEAS LICENSE. DOES IT HELP ME GET MY AUSTRALIAN LICENSE FASTER?
Depending on the country of origin, some licenses can be converted directly. In other cases, you may move to a P2 or Full license faster after passing the test. Please contact our office to discuss your specific situation.
AM I COVERED BY INSURANCE?
Yes, all students are fully covered by our comprehensive professional insurance while driving our school vehicles during a lesson.
