Terms of Service

By using this website ("Service") you are agreeing to be bound by the following terms and conditions ("Terms of Service") with L Driver Training School - ABN 42645801636.

REBOOKING

• All lessons are to be paid in advance so if you rebook another lesson then payment is due at the time of rebooking or within 24 hours of us taking the booking to reserve your day and time for your next lesson. 

• Lesson credits are lessons already purchased by way of packaged lessons or gift certificates. 

• If you have a lesson credit from your package lessons then this will be deducted and cancellation fees will then apply for any cancellations or rescheduling with less than 1 business days' notice given. 

• If you are not sure if you can keep your booking then best you don’t make it until you are sure, we can’t assume you might be available to do a lesson, we work on the basis you are or you aren’t.

• We may not be able to reserve a particular day and time as this may have been already reserved for someone else if they are not booked early.

• We do not reserve lesson spaces without payment being made so bookings should be made early especially for after-school lessons or weekends.

• All students are sent an email or text with their lesson information on what day and time it is. At the end of a lesson the student will be asked do they want to rebook and if so then the date and time will be messaged to the students so you should add our phone numbers to your contact list, there are no reasons to say you “forgot” we don’t forget so neither should you.

Cancellation 

Individual Lessons
All individual lesson sales are non-refundable and require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice to be provided if you wish to cancel or reschedule a lesson.
Notification: You must cancel your lesson using your online account which can be accessed anytime via the Website associated with your account. This process is available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

Cancellations via phone or SMS or email can only be completed during the nominated business hours, 8.30am-5.30pm. Cancellation requests submitted via email or SMS outside of hours are treated as being received at the time of processing on the next business day and you will therefore forfeit your lesson if adequate notification has not been given.

To avoid ANY risk of forfeiting your lesson, cancel your lesson via your online account with more than 24 hours’ notice.

All Lessons have an expiry period of  12 months from date of purchase due to pricing conditions that exist at the time of sale. (For example, fuel and operating costs).  

Packaged Lessons

All lesson package sales are non-refundable or exchangeable for any other service, fee or product, excluding changing transmission type from Manual to Auto or from Auto to Manual.

Within each packaged lesson, individual Lesson terms and conditions apply as per (1). All lessons sales are non-refundable and require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice to be provided if you wish to cancel or reschedule a lesson.
Notification: You must cancel your lesson using your online account which can be accessed anytime via the Website associated with your account. This process is available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

Cancellation of packaged lessons via phone or SMS or email or voicemail can only be completed during the nominated business hours, which are published on the Website. Times are based on our Sydney Customer Service Centre which also operate under Sydney and NSW Public Holidays. Cancellation requests submitted via email or SMS or voicemail outside of hours are treated as being received at the time of processing on the next business day and you will therefore forfeit your lesson if adequate notification has not been given.

To avoid ANY risk of forfeiting your lesson, cancel your lesson via your online account with more than 24 hours’ notice. You can reschedule lessons cancelled lessons as often as required, provided the 24 hour notice period is satisfied for each change.

Packaged lesson prices are based on a discount being applied from the Maximum Retail Sales Price for the service. The individual lesson price may be varied within the package by the Driving School at any time.

From time to time we may also need to reschedule a lesson by giving a student or customer more than 24 hours’ notice or a lesson may be done by another instructor when required if your regular instructor cannot attend.

TERMS OF USE WITH REGARD TO INSTRUCTOR VEHICLE FOR DRIVING TEST:

Upon requesting the rental of an Instructor vehicle for the purposes of participating in the driving test, the Learner takes full responsibility for:

• all damage to the vehicle if Learner is "at fault" or cannot identify nor have details of the person "at fault".

• damage that is caused by the vehicle that is within Learner’s control.

• theft or loss of the vehicle.

• all fines accumulated during the driving test, regardless of when they are issued by the relevant authority.

Additionally, the Learner states that in such an event the Learner agrees to pay for the costs of repairs to the vehicle &/or property collided with, subject to the renter of two agreed quotes including...

• actual cost of repairs

• any towing fees

• any excesses ($1400)

• any fines

In the case of a disastrous incident, where the cost to repair is greater than the excess fees, the Learner will pay within 14 days.

Driving Test Cancellation Policy

A driving test fee is charged for any driving test cancelled with less than 3 business days notice as we are unable to fill the booking space we have reserved for you. We book out 3 hours of time for a driving test and cannot fill that space at short notice.

Non-Attendance

If a lesson is cancelled by the participant for any reason within 24 hours of the start time of the lesson, the participant will be charged a full cancellation fee, which is the cost of the lesson.

Non attendance of a lesson will be treated as a Cancellation.

Provision of Lessons

L Driver Training School operates as a platform, facilitating connections between learner drivers and licensed driving instructors. While we ensure all instructors listed are qualified and licensed, it is the responsibility of learners to conduct their own due diligence when selecting an instructor.

Instructors act as independent contractors, not employees of L Driver Training School. Therefore, any agreement for driving instruction is directly between the learner and the instructor. 

You are required to possess and carry a current Australian driving license (Class C LRN or C) or an equivalent overseas license during all lessons.

On-road lessons start and finish at the pick-up point agreed upon at the time of booking. Clients are responsible for providing specific, accessible pickup and drop-off locations. This includes ensuring that there is nearby parking available and that the location is not in areas that are inherently vague or complex, such as around train stations, within shopping centres that have multiple entrances and exits, or in areas where our vehicles are not permitted to stop legally.

A standard on-road lesson lasts one hour and includes briefing and/or debriefing time.

All students must wear appropriate footwear during lessons. Recommended are flat-soled, enclosed shoes that offer a secure fit and proper pedal control.

It's important to be prepared for your lesson 10 minutes before the agreed start time. Should you fail to arrive as scheduled, the instructor will wait for up to 15 minutes, during which any delay will be subtracted from your lesson's total duration. Arrivals beyond this 15-minute window give the instructor the discretion to cancel the lesson, in which case the full lesson fee will still be applicable.

We strive to start all lessons on time and with the designated instructor. However, we cannot be held accountable for delays or instructor changes caused by unforeseen circumstances. Should such a situation affect the start time of your lesson, we are committed to providing the full lesson duration whenever possible. If delivering the full scheduled time isn't feasible, we will arrange for the lesson to be rescheduled to a more convenient time.

You are required to follow your instructor's instructions and directions at all times, both before and during the lesson.

We reserve the right to terminate a lesson if:
a. You engage in behaviour deemed reckless by your instructor, or
b. You do not follow the instructions or directions given by your instructor, either before or during the lesson, or
c. You fail to meet specific conditions of your license, such as the requirement to wear glasses or contacts.
Should a lesson be terminated for any of the reasons mentioned above, you will be obligated to pay for the full cost of the lesson.

We, along with our driving instructors, bear no responsibility for any personal property left behind in an instructor-supplied vehicle.

Driving lessons in your vehicle are permitted after you have completed at least one full lesson with us to assess your driving skills. Following this assessment, if your instructor agrees to conduct lessons in your vehicle, it is your responsibility to ensure that your car is insured with both compulsory third-party and comprehensive insurance. We, along with our driving instructors, will not be held accountable for any traffic violations or accidents that may occur while conducting driving lessons in your vehicle.

All driving lessons must be booked through our official online booking system. Clients may arrange bookings directly with their instructor during a lesson; however, the instructor is responsible for entering the booking into the system. Once the booking has been entered, clients will receive a confirmation email. L Driver Training School does not accept responsibility for any bookings made outside of our system, and it is the client's responsibility to ensure they have received a confirmation. If no confirmation is received, the booking is not considered valid.

In the event that a client believes their instructor has not entered the booking into the system, they must contact us immediately to confirm the registration of their lesson. Failing to do so may result in the lesson not being registered or scheduled.

Modifications to Services and Prices

• L Driver Training School reserves the right at any time and from time to time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the Service (or any part thereof) with or without notice.
• Prices of all Services are subject to change with or without notice.
• L Driver Training School shall not be liable to you or to any third party for any modification, price change, suspension or discontinuance of the Service.
